The Flying Show buzzing despite difficult market conditions

The visitors have left, the stands have been packed away and the numbers are in. Despite the difficult economic situation visitor numbers are up, aeroplanes are selling and exhibitors reporting brisk trade with some having a record year.
Geoff Weighall, BMAA CEO commented “It was a fantastic show with a real buzz, new aeroplanes and products were launched, people attended some great seminars and met up with old friends…we even had one microlight, the Pioneer 200, land at Birmingham International and make the rest of the journey by road”
One trader said ‘To be honest we were a bit surprised by the numbers, the enthusiasm, and the amount of business that we did. It’s been a tough year for the industry but we had a bumper show, selling out of some products an hour after opening on Sunday”
